Ladiebuggy
I am getting the system ready for hatching some baby clow fish out and raising them. In a book I borrowed from Reid, I found a 9 pop bottle and 1 5-10 gallon aquarium system for microalgae, rotifers, and brine shrimp. I am interested in different set ups, so please post any you may have set up. I will post pictures as I go, but do any of you have any do's or don'ts for me to learn prior to messing up? Michael7979
Or try Reef Frointiers and look for Elmo 18 on the PSAS fourm.
Barleychown
I do not have a photo right now, and I'm pretty sure I won't be able to get one before I move, but I do have 7 one gallon jars set up to culture phyto and pods. Be VERY careful about cross-contamination. That is what almost always causes my crashes.
Ladiebuggy
Thanks for the info. I sent a message through that site and hopefully will hear back. Susie

Barleychown
Use different air pumps and utensils for each type of culture. Also, if they are in the same area, keep the phyto above the pods, and the pods above the brine...the reverse of the food chain. I have had brine shrimp get into my phyto if they are near each other. JManrow
Here's some good culturing info: http://www.advancedaquarist.com/issues/sept2002/breeder.htm The setup shown in this link is very similar to the one that I have used. http://www.advancedaquarist.com/issues/aug2002/breeder.htm
