vanz
Hey guys, do you guys know of any good fishing spots? The only ones I go to are Hagg lake, and Vernonia...which I don't go to anymore since the flooding (sewage). My gf's dad is coming over and he wanted to go fishing. He loved Vernonia because of the ease of catching. I need to find a place that is easy to catch from shore or if it has a dock, even better. Hagg lake, i've never caught a single fish there. Also, what are some good bait to use? Thanks.
mrgreenthumb
Lost Lake is my favorite, timothy lake is cool too. Every time I go to lost lake I catch my limit. As far as bait goes Power bait is always a good one, salmon eggs work good too

vanz
Lost Lake and Timothy Lake, what city is that in? Thanks for your suggestion. Fishing for anything actually, well I'll take it back, no blue gills, tench, rubbish fish. I'm not a fisherman and pretty much just cast out and leave..lol. More of a relaxation activity. My gf on the other hand loves that feeling of reeling in anything. You know what....what do you guys think of those fish farm places? The places where you pay for what you catch? mrgreenthumb
Both are in the Mt. Hood National Forest. Might still be a little to snowy up there now come to think of it.
markdadof2
I like to fish coffenberry lake that is down past seaside in the state park (Ft. Stevens). They do stock the lake and sometimes you can land a few trophy trout. Last year there was a nesting pair of bald eagles that were flying around as we landed a few nice trout!
