dsoz
Without seeing it, I probably wouldn't pay more than $5-800. Maybe up to $1k if it is all in excellent condition. dsoz
fishiefish
I just paid 1100 for a simular set up. ...slightly more upgraded than that and came with more livestock.....also depends on the area in selling. if your selling your powerheads let me know....so I'd say part out...on ebay you can do pretty well. defigart
As a seller of previous operated equipment (aka used), I can attest that you get more when it is parted out. The reason is that if you sell it together, yes the buyer is getting everything they need but not neccasarily everything they want. For example, your skimmer. I assume it is a RPS 1000 or PS 1000. Perhaps they buyer perfers a different brand. In the buyers mind, they have to go get another skimmer, and sell/trade the one they got from you. This causes the whole to be worth less the sum of the parts. Inversely, (correct me, mathematicians if I used that wrong), if you sell just the skimmer, you will sell it to someone who wants that exact skimmer, and is willing to pay more.
