If I got a sump( currently trying to find an affordable used one) Would I need to run a protein skimmer? I have read many things going both ways. I currently have a HOB p.s. and I don't have one that would work in a sump. Also, Do you need to do water changes when running a sump or just top offs? And what size sump pump would I need?
