vanz
Can anyone tell me if this type is safe for our tanks? I want to attach ceramic rock together. It's available at Lowes Oatey 4 oz. Epoxy Putty
R-3
Aquamend at Home Depot is good stuff. Later Ryan
Ronjunior
Personally, I think the stuff I bought from Home Depot sucked. I think out 18 frags I glued, maybe 2 are still there. The tiniest little bump just knocked stuff right off. You got to smoosh it pretty good to stick into the rock pores, but end of LPS more or less needs to be molded to help stay. Also, got to mix up good and with the right proportions or it stays like wet playdough. I'm sticking with superglue.
Nyles
Bourneman has used the ottie and said he did not recommend it as it was "Steal filled". He did mention a putty called... Rector seal as humorous as that is.
vanz
I picked up the aquamend last night and for now it's holding. I haven't tested the piece underwater yet though. So it's a no go on the oatey i see. Yeah I read it being steel filled and was thinking...that might not be safe, so I decided to ask here.
