defigart
Where can I buy some locally? I would prefer a Vancouver location, but PDX area is fine. If this is a repost I appologize, but I did a forum search and couldn't find this answer.
drock59
I bet you could find some at just about any LFS. Advanced Aquarium sells bigger quantities, not sure about the rest.
dsoz
Wal-Mart (wally world) had some before. Usually they carry it during the gardening season to make... pickels (whoda thunk it?) It is like $2.50 for something like a lb. I only bought one can, so I am probably going to run out before next spring. Oh well. I'll just bum some off someone that got a lot. dsoz
180Brandy
If you have a Bi-mart nearby they carry pickling lime too.
defigart
I looked at Bi-Mart but didn't see it there. What area do they carry it in?
Nyles
I get it at advanced, cheap. 5 gallon bucket is cheaper than you think.
180Brandy
At my Bi-mart they have it in canning supplies.
kriswaters
I have searched high and low for this stuff as well...no luck at the local stores. I will try to get in touch with Advanced Aquariums and see if they have any left on hand, with the store closing and all. If so I will post and let anyone interested know. I live in Newberg, so Salem is a short trip away. Kris
kriswaters
Found this site today...$7.00 to ship a $3.85 container! Anyway...hopefully it will be found locally. Not sure how much Kalkwasser will set me back, or where else to get my hands on calcium hydroxide. http://mrswages.stores.yahoo.net/mrswagpiclim.html Kris
180Bob
This place also carrier bulk kalkwasser. http://www.twopartsolution.com I've never purchased anything from them so I don't know anything about their reliability etc. bo
kriswaters
I would rather drive to find some then ship it. I found another store but it is on Divsion street. It is not called pickling lime, however it is called Ball's pickling something or another... Anyway the search continues. Kris
