N70SJ Posted February 6, 2017 Share Posted February 6, 2017 I had my Apex doing a few basic things: 1. Turning T5's on/off 2. Turning MH's on/off 3. Running my auto-fish-feeder 4. Couldn't get it to control heaters yet The Main Brain is in my Dug-Out Sump room with a 8-Outlet Power Bar. The green pen points at a 30 ft Aqua-bus cable to a 2nd 8-Outlet Power Bar at the display tank. The green pen points at where the cable connects to the up-stairs-Display Tank Sump Room Apex Brain & Power Bar. (Green Pen points to where Aqua-Bus plugs in in Sump Room) The 2nd up-stairs Power-Bar (Green Pen points to where the cable attaches Brain to 2nd Power Bar) I can't get it to work now? TheClark Posted February 6, 2017 Share Posted February 6, 2017 I am old school here too. However, in the past any USB connection was legit, no specific ports required. Is the long USB cable passive? If it is an active repeater that can damage the apex, be sure to use one with no signal boosting or electronics. Just a plain old cable.
