ssappington
Finally crawled under the house and totally miss-remembered what was there. what I have is 2x8 subfloor with 4x6 cross beams and 4x4posts with two perfectly centered, perpendicular to where the tank will go. I thought I had 2x10 or 2x12 running parallel to the tank... do I need to reinforce at all? If so, how? I figure the "bathtub" will weigh a little over a ton, spread over 2ftx8ft... Dragon
Sounds like you should be in good shape without adding to that. Perpendicular support beams are better, as the weight will distribute across more supports. Post some pics if you can.
Blue Z Reef
I did under mine with 4x4s on pyramid blocks (I think that's what their called, made for decks and such). If I did it again, house jacks would have been easier. And my house has TGIs that run parallel with the tank so that's mostly why I did it. Blackice
I think your fine up to 400g and as long as your perpendicular to the joists. I had a 300g with 125g sump in a Mobil home and never hade a problem for 3+ years.
