Palani
If you just got it, just give it some time to attach. Maybe it didn't like it's first location.
Nyles
What kind of clam, what lights and how high up is it? Its normal for a clams bysuss threads to drop when its not comfortable, its up to you to figure out why, it usually is because of light, water quality, or harrasment
Nyles
and as the second post says, if its a new clam I wouldn't worry to much, I just try to get them in a fairly safe place and they will usually attach by the next day if they like the spot, if they don't they will jump. wegotjs
Had him about 5 week's . Middle-bottom of tank. Crocea. He was attached to a rock when I bought him but he was not attached very well. I bumped him and he came loose from the rock. he has been loose about 5 day's and hasn't re-attached. I'm having a hard time finding a place were he will stay put. Nyles
Only word of advice, move him up higher, they like lots of light.
