Kalk question

This is probably too late - but I have 6 tubs of ms wages and I'm in corvallis so if you want some I will sell you some for the same price I bought it (about $3/tub). This goes for anyone in corvallis that doesn't want to have to drive to walmart or salem. I'd be willing to sell 3 - 4 tubs since I don't think I'll be using nearly as much as planned anytime soon.

I happened to find some at the local feed store. It is called Hydrated Lime.

Anybody know about this stuff. Im a little bit leary of adding this to my tank.

I would not add it to MY tank, but you can try it in yours if you want. (nutty)

I would not go with horticulture grade kalk, I would want food grade or better. Did you look at those contaminants? Mercury (less than) 0.02 PPM. Lead at (less than) 5 PPM!!! YUCK! I don't think I would want that sort of contamination for my corals.

I would go with the pickling lime. That is at least approved by the FDA to be put in to food (big comfort) :)

I am going to try to hit up wally-world again soon to pick up 2-3 more cans to last me until next year.
