Ninjabeaver
So still waiting to move to new house and new tank with my led lighting and my coral seems to be suffering. These filaments are extending from the tips of some of my sps. Not sure if it's a response from warfare, old bulbs, or my coral beauty stressing them out. MVPaquatics
They are called mesenterial or gastric filaments. Could be from warfare or from a feeding response
Ninjabeaver
Has anyone had them right before a coral starts dying?
ChrisQ
I was wondering about this too recently, there is a few of my pieces that do this from time to time.
Blue Z Reef
I only see them when feeding usually. I wouldn't necessarily relate that to death, usually everything is contracted if it's pissed or dying.
