Robyna_baby
So I noticed 3 of these things in my tank last night... They put out a spiderweb type thing and them pull it back in when stuff gets on it... Are they bad or will they hurt anything? Sorry for the bad pic and thanks in advance for the advice! badxgillen
If they are stationary and the little guy comes out of a calcerous tube then they are most likely Vermatid snails, some consider them good as they eat particulants that get in the water column but others see them as pests as when the mucus comes in contact with an adjacent coral they can become irritated. I have also punctured my hand on these on multiple occasions and it is a painful hollow tube that can detach into your skin.
rworegon
I personally don't like them. They can multiply rather quickly, and irritate corals when they build their little tubes next to them. My copperband butterfly eats them.

Robyna_baby
Yes they are stationary and the mucus is gross but I would have no idea how to get rid of them... I don't want to be stabbed by it lol
rworegon
I have used dentist picks to break them of and Stan the worm inside.
Robyna_baby
So the overall vote is to boot them yes? Multiply to quickly and annoy my corals? I do have some glue I could fill them with (clap)
badxgillen
I would just use some hemostats.
