peligro
Ok so does anyone know if the back sump to the jbj is acrylic or tempered glass. I've knocked on it. And it feels and sounds like acrylic, but can't really tell. I plan to drill it at some point this week. And start to plan my custom sump for under my stand. And plan the return. I feel like even with modifications to the over flow the jbj has I shouldn't go over anything bigger then 1"-1 1/2" any suggestions HTC EVO

Toby Flenderson
Very good, thanks for the info. I'll update to the findings HTC EVO i should have been more clear. take a new razor blade and drag it almost flat on one corner of the blade. If you get a very thin peel of plastic it is plastic, if it does nothing it is glass.
reeferscooter
are you talking about the partion? cause it is plastic on my 28 gal jbj. The whole exterior is glass on mine not sure about tempered though.
Garrett
do what jeffg has on his biocube and remove the whole back sump part once you drill, itll open up a good 3 inches or so of room in the
Jeffreyg
Ya but mine is for sure glass . .. I wished it was acrylic ! Wouldn't have took a half hour to drill it .

Jeffreyg
I honestly have no clue it was free . So I didn't ask many ?s lol . I just knew that plastic had to come out .... They should just make one that's already predrilled since they sell the little nifty stands idk just a thought as we all know more water less issues . Yup no problem . .
