I would even suggest that it might have gotten to close to a coral and ended up getting stung. Not sure what is all in the tank but my frogspawn i am pretty sure got my blonde tang.

are you talking about the partion? cause it is plastic on my 28 gal jbj. The whole exterior is glass on mine not sure about tempered though.

Thank you everyone for the congratulations and the advice on snorkel areas. Went to honolua bay today and saw some awesome fish and an eagle ray. Honolua is an awesome little cove with plenty to see including some huge trigger and parrotfish. I think tomorrow we are gonna head south and find some other areas that were suggested. Oh almost forgot saw a pretty large moray eel there as well.

Yea it already crossed my mind to bring something back but they are very very strict about that. Last time I was in Florida I brought back some small mangroves that are still going in my 180.

No not my first time but I love seeing them. I am looking at doing a dive or two while I am here. I have been a certified diver since I was 12, so almost 15 years now. I will defidently be checking out this places everyone is recommending. Here on my honeymoon so I don't get to spend all my time in the water this time. I would love to go to jamica. I also want to make the red sea and great barrier reef at least once. Should do pnwmas dive trip.

Just got done snorkeling with sea turtles and some beautiful fish including some full grown naso tangs. Gotta love Maui sure does make my tank seem insufficient when you see actual coral colonies. Would love to see some of these under actinics tthough. Everytime I am here I get all school girl giddy.

My family owns the detroit lake marina and if you need a job next summer i would love to help you out. crappy thing is we are closing down here in 2 weeks and there isnt a lot that goes on during the winter.

looks good i really like black stands makes the tank pop.

i sealed my stand bottom it can hold almost 2-3 inches of water. if anything easier to clean up then the carpet underneath the stand. i have also seen people use the oil catch pans for garages under their return pumps and such.

i just got done skinning my metal stand and i painted everything on the inside white and did a black stain on on the otside looks awesome and i have good light in the stand. i dont know if you have already or not but i didnt cut the holes for my plumbing and cords til after i painted the wood. it added a few steps so i would defidently cut the holesbefore painting the wood next time.
