NoobtoSalt
I just snagged a harlequin shrimp from swf and it appears to have eggs. is this just like any other shrimp were it will end up being food for the fish? gradth
I must have a male cause I have never noticed eggs on mine. I know my cleaner has eggs all the time. I would assume it is the same with them. Sorry you were probably looking for an answer huh? LOL. Lets see a picture, I was told that you can tell the difference between male and females. Kinda curious now. NoobtoSalt
I couldn't get any pictures of the eggs but it had at least a hundred of them hanging off of it when it was still in the bag.

Mike nickerson
here's my female. Te best way to sex the harlequins is to look at there abdomens they are usually thicker and the little flaps over lap.
matty
Nice harlequin. I would say the fry will probably end up coral and fish food unless you set up a system to raise them. This is a good article on them: http://www.chucksaddiction.com/harlequinshrimp.html Do you know if SWF had any more in stock?
illcssd
I don't work Saturdays, but we had 4 last night and I doubt we sold all 4 today. If you give us a call in the morning I can tell you for certain. Sent from my PG86100 using Tapatalk
