Rick T
I've been looking for a RBTA locally (I stopped at Garrett's Monday being I was passing through Salem and sadly he's closed for a couple weeks) Well, I found one that looks to be in pretty good health (at least to me) but it's a wild caught. I've been told that Aquacultured tend to do much better in tanks however, so I'm hesitant to pick it up. This would be my first Nem so any thoughts are appreciated
Emerald525
I have had wild caught ones do well. It's just like anything else in this hobby. I like to buy fish from local reefers when I can because I know they have acclimated to home tank parameters. If your tank is well established. You have good lighting and stable parameters they can do well. The ones that I have lost have typically been the wild ones so if it is your first nem, you may want to wait for a nice tank raised clone.
jawfish
I've had 50% success rate with wild caught RBTA- 1st one wouldn't settle, and just melted away and the 2nd one settled where I put it and has produced 9 offspring. PM me if you're interested in a tank raised RBTA.
