biomekanic
Hi all. My name is Mike, and the reef keeping disease has once again bit me. From roughly September 2001 until April(?) of 2006 I kept one or more tanks going. In April, PNW Railroad sprayed "harmless" herbicides on the tracks three blocks from my house. My 75g LPS/Zoa tank, my two mantis nano's, and my 10g chaeto farm all wiped. At that point, I decided I needed a break and got out of the hobby. Currently I have no tanks, as I'll possibly be moving. I've kept all my equipment, and my LR is fallow. I was, IIRC, one of the vocal proponents of PNWMAS becoming a formal club (though feel free to correct me if I'm wrong). I'd been attending meeting somewhat regularly from '03 to '05, until gas prices really started to hit hard, then I was an irregular attendee. It's nice to be back, and I'm looking forward to once again setting up some tanks. All those sweet zoa pics made me realise how much I miss the hobby. I'm biomekanic here, on RC, back in the days of the PNWMAS TRT forum I was biomekanic there as well. I was also the resident mantis fanatic, as I love those little guys, they're awesome. impur
Glad to have you back at it Mike! Now when we gonna chop up that glass tank??? Miles
biomekanic
It'll be a bit, I need to clear space in my store room to get at it. Things are a might crowded in there, plus I won't be setting up the tank for at least another month.
Sixty-five
Not doubting at all, just curious: how could those herbicides wipe out your tank. I mean, aside from toxicity to your livestock, how did they get in there? Have fun getting back into this crazy "hobby." (More like lifestyle, if you ask me.)
