souperman
I have a rock I had planned to keep an island of GSP on so that it wouldn't take over my tank. The rock is pretty good sized and I was wondering if there was anything else that would stand up to the GSP? I'd love to mix in a different color of polyps if I could. Any ideas? Blue Z Reef
I have a rock covered in gsp but it also has some larger (long stem) zoas. The zoas will survive if they are tall enough (stick up above the gsp's) and if you pick off the encrusting gsp mass from their stems once in a while. souperman
I was thinking about maybe some purple star polyps or a torch coral? I wonder if a hammer would create enough shade to keep the GSP at bay?
Blue Z Reef
The worst that's gonna happen with a torch or hammer is it will start to climb the base eventually, but it peels off really easy so I'd say go for it!
Mohaynow
a hammer or torch should be able to sting the gsp enough to keep it at bay. Most euphyllias pack a strong punch

markdadof2
Oh, colonizing hydroids would take over and kill your GSP, trust me on that. Heck, I'll give you some. ha ha ha.
