reefnjunkie
I am curious if there are any cabinetry folks out there that would be willing to trade ther skills for some frags. I have a TON of stuff and would bet I got stuff you would like-(whistle) I have nearly everything done for the new build except the interior trim and the door I need for the front access. I can handle the trim but the door will be tough-I just dont have the right tools and I want it to look as good as possible. What I have is a dutch door (pictured) that I want to basiclly "skin". Its a hollow frame door so once its cut to size what will be left is the face. My thought was to then build a frame and glue the face to it. On the back side it could be veneer/formica its to be determined. If I had clamps, router and a table saw I'd do it myself but I sadly I dont-(sad) Anyway I can discuss the plans if there is anyone interested please PM me Thanks Brad
pantherguy30
There's usually a webbing that goes between both skins of those hollow core doors. It adds structure to them. Either way you should be able to peel it away after u cut the 1x1 frame around that bifold door mang:-) If I hadn't sold my table saw, and router this summer I'd be game to help. reefnjunkie
OK so it has been brought to my attention-they are not dutch doors (doh) Thanks for the thought David-I was going to use the skill saw with the guide which worked well on the moulding I had to rip so................ But there is something to be said for having the right tools for the job-(clap)
