tidalsculpin
I appear to have peppermint shrimp babies in my fuge. I estimated like 50-100. Will this decimate my pod population?
CCR
you better send all of them to me to be sure your pods are not all eaten up!!!!!!!

tidalsculpin
I had 4 peppermints in the fuge to get my aptasia problem under control. 2 died. Then, about three weeks later I noticed little cruising shrimp. They have a slight pink hue on the belly like the ones in this article. http://www.reefkeeping.com/issues/2002-10/nftt/index.php
JManrow
You should probably start hatching brine shrimp to feed those shrimp larvae. Get those phyto cultures and rotifers cranked up! Joel... you just don't have enough projects going on! (laugh)
Palani
Hey John would they be big enough to eat baby brine? Or would you have to feed phyto?
JManrow
Hey John would they be big enough to eat baby brine? Or would you have to feed phyto? They need to be fed newly-hatched brine shrimp. It is better to underfeed than overfeed. The peppermint shrimp larvae are unable to feed directly on phytoplankton. You might try feeding rotifers that are being fed phyto. This is a good example of why we raise rotifers in the first place. As the shrimp grow you can feed them on brine shrimp that are fed with phyto.
