pledosophy
I made my own vac as well a few years ago, but mine was not so fancy. I used a 6 foot piece of 3/8" hose and a micron filter bag. I started the siphon and put the out of the hose in the sump, then attached the micron bag with a rubberband. From there I kept the siphon going and ust vaccumed my tank pretty much. It worked very well and I did not have to waste any water for a water change. Until I did the 50% water change after the triple dose of flatworm exit that is. Nancymacc
Good idea for vacuuming out the sump too. I live in an apartment and don't have room for a shopvac, was wondering what I could do to clean it of debris. THANKS!!
