jabrbox
Ok so i pulled the halides out in order to stain the top of my cabinet last night, and in one spot under both bulbs were scorch marks in the wood (scary) I installed some metal roof flashing over where the scorch marks were at and basically covers the entire area of the bulbs, AND I installed 3 or 4 washers under the reflector screws so its not touching the wood at all, is there any opinion on if this should be safe now? Thanks in advance
reefnjunkie
Should be good to go now-Key word "should" Do you have any fans on the ends or a way to get air moving through there?
J.R
You should be fine now. On my 120 I used flat reflector material that was mounted directly to the canopy with no spacing and my bulb was about 3" from the reflector. Don't know what size your MH's are but mine was a dual 400w.
