marinehrnt
I'm starting up a new 60 gallon tank which will be mainly softies and LPS. I'm going with a 4 bulb TEK fixture and looking for some ideas on bulb selection. I currently have a nano with a 150w Phoenix MH which has a nice deep blue color that I enjoy. I would like a combination of bulbs that gives me a "blue look" and gives good growth down the road. I have heard great things about ATI bulbs, any suggestions on bulb combinations? tanktop74
I would go with ATI blue plus ATI purple blus ATI aqua blue And either ATI actinic plus or pure actinic I have 2 ATI light fixtures and you have to play with the bulbs until you find a combo that fits you, but this is a good starting point! DennisW
Sent you a pm marinehrnt. I have 4 brand new 24" ATI bulbs you could buy from me than I wont have to send them back to marine depot. Some how I double ordered and didn't notice until I got my "shipped" notice. 3 blue plus and one aquablue special is what I use and will give you great growth and the color you are looking for. marinehrnt
Thanks for the suggestions everyone, it gives me a good place to start. I'm sure I will have to play around with it for awhile to really get the color I want, but that's the great thing about T5's I guess.
