Chennai, India - "The submergence of two Islands, Poomarichan and Vilangusalli in the Gulf of Mannar underwater is primarily due to the impact of the generations old illegal coral mining in the region and not due to climate change, say independent experts who have been studying the Gulf of Mannar Biosphere Reserve.
