180Brandy
I was wondering does it makes a difference on now you store your salt. Let say you keep your salt in the garage doe the cold weather effect the salt? Or if you live in a humid area or a dry or cold area. Does it say on the bag or at what temp. you should keep your salt at? I was just wondering if this could affect test results?
SeanF
If the package is sealed there should be no effect on the salt under normal conditions. The only problem would be even a pin hole in the bag or the bucket not sealing properly could have an effect.
180Brandy
so is it better to store your salt at room temp? O does it matter?
Nyles
I don't think it matters, its salt. But I keep mine in my utility room so my wife has a reason to complain about something.

R2R2
I would go so far as to say even the moisture a salt might collect from the air should not harm the salt, only solidify it. We bought 30 cases of Red Sea salt years ago for real cheap because the bags had not sealed and they resembled 200 gallon mix sized "salt licks"! We chipped chunks off the blocks, mixed them as normal, they worked just fine. I imagine there might be a few things in the air that could settle on your salt like dust and spores that you might not like, but the moisture in the air is very much like RO/DI water I believe. oldbrownies
and all the spores in the air would end up in the tank anyway.
CCR
I have kept it on the RV pad through freezing weather, and the heat of summer. No ill effects
