J & Jr
Hi all i'm getting the parts together to plumb my CL and was thinking about trying to use Wirsbo or what they call Pex tubing now. I have used it to plumb a house and I heard that they use it in hospitals so I can't see how it would be harmful in a SW tank. It comes in at least 3 colors and is flexible so no 90's are needed so should have good flow. it has a 20 year guarantee so what do you guys think? anyone used this befor? do you se any problems with it? http://www.pexsupply.com/categories.asp?cID=517&brandid= sorry I can't figure out how to keep this as a link

SULLY
It's the same stuff used on calcium reactors and alot of other misc. equipment. I have 3 different colors on 100ft. rolls at the store that i use and sell. Once you get past 1/4" , it gets a little pricey. Jason
reefgeek84
it is pricey and you will run into the problem of attaching it to what ever you plum...It all depends on how you want to connect your returns on your CL and your inlet on your CL...then you have to attach it to the pump...I think it would be alot of work... I could be very wrong on this since I have never workded with the stuff...There is usually a reason why you have not seen it used before... J & Jr
Attaching it should be easy I have fittings that are barbed on one side standard pipe thread on the other. about the price I was hoping I have enough left over from a previous job. Hoping to save money for that new skimmer.
