impur
Can anyone give me a tip to remove the sand dust on the sides of my acrylic cube? I rinsed the sand but it still had some dust in there. I just really don't want to scratch the inside walls before its stocked. I already scratched the outside a few times (flame)
J.R
Maybe just lightly use your hand to wipe it off inside.
mytshall
+1 on the hand. Don't think the dust has enough to really scratch. I used my mag float and it was fine but a hand would be safer.

ReefSafari
Water use water Thats what I was thinking, like a turkey baster and blast the sides with it, it would be gently and might just work....
Michael7979
Turkey baster or powerhead would be my suggestion.
jonas
I used my power head. worked good.
impur
This is going to have to be wiped off, i've already tried powerhead/baster. I'm thinking of trying one of those magic eraser sponges.....
Michael7979
Maybe try wiping from the bottom to the top with some cheesecloth. Since the dust settled as it fell maybe wiping up will decrease the chances of scratching.

impur
Good to hear! I'm gonna clean the sides tonight! I've also got those white pads for cleaning acrylic, kinda look like scotch pads. Had to find em, they were buried in a box. I use these for my skimmer and they don't scratch either.
moto826
you will be happy with magic eraser they work great but do not take off coraline so i use my license or a bank card for that

frlejo
i just fill the tank with water, it disappears and/or settles, does not hurt anything. btw, how much are memberships for the club on a yearly basis? i saw the page on a per month basis, was wondering what the yearly cost is, thx
impur
Yah its been 6 days and that hasn't happened so i need to do it manually. Membership is not a per month basis, that page is a little confusing I know. Its a year membership. You select the month you plan to join, and your membership will run thru December. At that point you must renew your yearly membership.
