sontdo
Hi all, I'm planning to build a new tank 200-250 G, depending on the weight bearing capacity on my floor, above the daylight basement. Please recommend a good tank dimension for a location against a wall, ie 6Ft X 30'' X 24'' or other better dimension? I want to have a 4Ft X 4 Ft X24'', walk around but afraid the weight maybe too much for the floor to bear. The tank will be acrylic 1'' thick. Does anyone know someone who can do weight assessment on a floor? I just want to make sure the weight is appropriate before I decide what tank size I can build. Thanks in advance for any advice. Saltfinsax
A few things here to look at. Whats the size and span of the floor joists? What is the thickness of the decking on the joists? How is the weight dispersed on the floor with the stand? Them should be your 3 biggest things to look at. If you need help looking at this, PM me and we will find a time for me to come take a look.
