markdadof2
I've been doing a bit of reading lately on algae scrubbers and was wondering if anyone here has set one up? If I can find some room in my sump I may just set up a small one - it is a very cheap to set one up and from what I have read the benefit is huge. some reading if you are interested: http://algaescrubber.net/forums/

grassi
Dave is running one at the clownhouse. It has been running for a year at least. He's probably the best person to contact
Barelycuda
I do have a pretty large one. I believe it is 22"long x 12" high. It was the largest piece of the plastic matting I could buy at the craft store. It does a great job but it is shut down right now for some upgrades/changes. I have mine lit from both sides with 4-23watt cfl lamps w/reflectors. I will see if I can drum up a pic for you.
markdadof2
I'd be interested in a picture or two Dave! I'm thinking of setting up a small one for my 60 cube, just have to make some room in the sump! Thanks.
reef165
I want to see some pic's too!! Do you need to seed the alge?
markdadof2
From what I have read, you do not need to seed the algae at all. Light (about 18 hours a day) and water flow and the algae grows - OUTSIDE the tank
