tidalsculpin Posted January 13, 2007 Posted January 13, 2007 I am considering puting on a controller to a tank mainly to watch ph and temp for the data in my classroom. How many of you use a controller and for what reasons? What controllers do you like the best? Do you find that one has easy to use software that connects to PCs or to (god forbid!!) a mac? These are my possibilities; Lighthouse Premium Aquatics? Web access and low priced. A Reefkeeper2? A aquacontroller jr? A used higher end item- like an aqIII or an octopus 3000? Quote
H20cooled Posted January 13, 2007 Posted January 13, 2007 I've used the AC jr and I now use the AC3, both are great controllers and I have had zero problems with them. Quote
tidalsculpin Posted January 13, 2007 Author Posted January 13, 2007 Do you have the serial port setup to a pc? How's that work for ya? Quote
H20cooled Posted January 13, 2007 Posted January 13, 2007 On my AC3 it has an ethernet port built in and a web server so there is no need for the serial port also it would work fine with a MAC because its just a web page you go to. I also have the ACjr on my other tank but I do not use the serial on it. Quote
