reef165 Posted January 6, 2007 Posted January 6, 2007 thinking abought what Joel said abought the wave box, what if one used two duel OM's one on the inlet of a dart and one on the exit. the inlet one could alternate from one side of the tank to the other and the return doing the oposite, so that when the pump is pulling from the right the return is on the left and vice versa. dose anyone think this is posable or are the OM's not that concictant in timing? fly guy Posted January 7, 2007 Posted January 7, 2007 Save yourself some money and time and buy a 8-way. The possibilities and flow patterns are endless. Im not sure what you mean by putting an OM on the inlet side to the dart either. Unless Im missing something, thats not something you would want to do. Quote
reefgeek84 Posted January 7, 2007 Posted January 7, 2007 you do not want to put it on the inlet side, it will not be good for the dart. Plus it is will not achieve anything...if you wanted you could "y" the outlet and have two that way. But like Flyguy said, I would just go with an 8 way.... Quote
inkto Posted January 7, 2007 Posted January 7, 2007 You are basically describing the Tsunami that they were/are working on... there's a video here: http://www.oceansmotions.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=38 http://www.oceansmotions.com/tsunami.wmv There's no way to control the OMs precisely enough to create a wave in the tank as the timing will need to be calibrated for the exact tank length...you would need a custom controller to pull it off.
