WTB: Hood for an Aquapod 24G

Have you considered going open top and having the fixture rest on the edges?

I ran a 24 gallon aquapod that way and had a piece of Lexan or acrylic that sat in the lips within the rim???

Just a thought.

The acrylic wont be good if you want to run MH bulbs-tried it and it was to much heat-at least a 150watt MH was on my 24 gallon

I would love too but with the amount of cathair floating around this house I don't think it would be a good idea. Also, I really like the AIO closed top look. Getting another hood is more for the fun of modding. I'm also looking for a hood for a 15.5 pacific coast nano but those are even harder to find. Next tank will be an open top though, MH for sure.

Lights mainly. Maybe T5 retro or fit in a 96w quad I have. Nothing too exciting, just like tinkering around with electronics. Haven't dabbled with lighting yet so I figured I might as well. Any current or prior aquapod owners done any cool mods I might want to try?
