Mandinga
The gravity from the "Responsibility Sun" frequently outweighs the gravity of "I hate water changes" on the Mandinga reef. I like to go slowly and let the corals get some "fresh air". This reef is One Eye'd Willies biggest nightmare. check the slime! time for the tide to come in. the cans like new water;~)
ThePremiumAquarium
It really is amazing to me how long, and how well these guys can do being exposed to the air. I was fragging coral not to long ago and accidentally forgot about a BN piece on the table. The next evening I was cleaning up my mess and found the pour frag. I decided to toss it in the tank for s and g's and sure enough a couple of hours later, the polyps were fully extended and it was as happy as can be. Very amazing stuff. reefnjunkie
If they are acclimated to the exposure its not big deal. People will say "they are exposed at low tide" but forgetting the pieces we own are not freshly harvested off a reef. Just dont leave the halides on during "low tide" you will see a slime couting alright, followed by the "meltdown" -(laugh) Nice healthy looking pieces there Isaac (I think thats right)
Mandinga
i have had some issues with some torts and delicate BN's with exposure...I actually have them out of water for a max of about 5 minutes...just enough time for a few snaps.
