ToxicPoison
So I have a bunch of Coraline growing on my front glass (A terrible problem, I know). What's the best way to scrape it off without scratching the glass? Has anyone tried this? http://www.magfloat.net/telas/pagina.php?id=26 I love my magfloat, and it's in need of being replaced anyways so...might be worth looking into? markdadof2
I use the kent scraper - the one with the metal edge and it works great. Just don't drop it or you have to buy a new insert. http://www.aquariumguys.com/kentproscraper1.html

Emerald525
We use a mag float we bought with a group buy at BRS and works well for glass. http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/store/products/glass-cleaners/the-hammerhead-float-magnetic-glass-cleaner.html
Rick
I just use a scrap of clear acrylic. About 1 1/2" wide by 14" or so long.
impur
I stopped using a magfloat after some sand got between it and the glass and scratched the glass. Now i use a paint scrapper from the dollar store.
Emerald525
I just don't scrape too close to the bottom with the mag float. I use one for the acrylic and one for the glass tank obviously different cleaners. I just us a regular scraper close the the bottom
Algae
A whole $6.29 at Foster and Smith. Quality stainless, floats & does the job. Of course if you need the best, Tunze makes a motorized version. Handcrafted by German watchmakers in the Black Forrest. Each individually stamped and numbered to justify paying too much for a scraper. Plus it verifies to impressionable yuppies that gullibility has no limits.

ToxicPoison
My problem with the scrapers is I'm "average european height" for a male...which means I'm short...with short arms... I tried using a long handled scraper in the past but it seemed flimsy and I didn't like how much pressure I had to put on it to make it work. Can anyone vouch for a long-handled scraper? That would accessorize soo nicely with my kitchen appliances and giant rod I have stuck up my..erm... (whistle)
