JonBoy
Testing a theory because the rock i got from her i put in my cube and my SPS's never really did too good and she said she didnt have good luck with them either and my other tank is doing great and the only difference between the two is the rock so thought maybe what she thought was RTN might be some copper treated rock. Just a thought any help would be appreciated.
Michael7979
Sounds like there is something bonded to the rock that is now leaching back into the tank. (copper or whatever) You can try cooking the rock but I'm not even sure if that would help. Hopefully someone with more knowledge about this will chime in. dsoz
Try using a copper absorbing pad. I believe that they sell them in most LFS, but I know that Upscales has them. The pads turn different colors if different metals are in the tank. Green indicates copper (I think). dsoz
Tat2d
I got all the sand from her tank, and have had no problems. My sps are growing like weeds
414driver
I got about 100 lbs of her rock...started the tank mid-May. No SPS yet...but shrooms, rbta's, blasto, acans. zoo's, torch and green star polyp growing like weeds! That rock has about every color of coralline imaginable!
