Wait! It even gets better! 2400 Watt for $239, or 1000 watt for $199. OK, enough of the furniture saleman talk. They've got quite a few. I love the emergency car inverter idea, but I'm a little leery of leaving my car running all night long. One more thing to add to the Xmas list for next year! For some reason, my wife likes shopping at harbor freight :)

Usually their web prices are same as in store, but web has more of a selection of everything.

I think it'd be ok over night, just make sure you fire the car up the next day to charge it. You could always get one of those tractor batteries that would probably run the tank for at least a few days before needing charged.

I got mine here.

They have excellent quality stuff for fair price and no suprises. I buy most my commercial stuff here.

there is inverters too. However I got my Honda generator somewhere else, but I did get a honda 4000 psi pressure washer there.

I forget about them. They have one for $99 for 1000watt, but watch the run time for fuel capacity. 1/2 load gets about 4-5 hours only....

I personally wouldn't buy anything there but the northstar stuff. But its more money but worth it if you want it to last. I beat the crap out of mine, run it all the time. But honestly if your buying one just for the tank I dont think economy will really matter unless you plan to have lots of power outages.

why not jsut get a marine deep cycle and hook up an inverter to it? then recharge the battery when ur done

1 big advantage to a generator is longevity and being able to plug other things into it like a refrigerator or kegarator :). I used to live in N. Portland and were without electricity for about 1 1/2 weeks back in that major ice storm in the mid 90's and often for several days here and there. We've been lucky in Damascus this year, no more than big flickers, but the season has just begun.

Just remember if you get a generator, to keep up on your routine maintenance and have a few spare parts around. Our neighbor had a generator this weekend but it was of little used due to a clogged fuel filter.

But like I said you get what you pay for, if your cheap and expect it to run after you skimped on brand , gen type, and efficiency, dont whine when it breaks after 2 years. Or because it dounds like a tractor starting up. LOL
