jgf86123
I cant really tell, but he almost looks like an acro crab, if thats the case, he's good, but then again, I can't really tell for sure LOL.
JasonH
I don't think it's an acro crab. It's hard to tell head-on. Can you get a pick that's tops down?

jgf86123
hmmmmmmm, I see dark claws, if I remember right, dark claws are the sign of a bad crab........
JasonH
Hard to tell - could even be a pom pom crab, but looks a little too flat. Is it smooth or fuzzy?

JasonH
when in doubt - assume it's bad. Although he's fairly small.
jgf86123
I dunno Jason, pom pom's are pretty cute, he's kinda scary looking LOL Plus he's got those dark, pointed claws, and I'm pretty sure I've seen articles and threads that say that means he's a bad one. CrazyInside
Well he obviously wasn't a common good one that people know so I netted him and gave him a swirly Don't want to take any chances lol.. when I got him out of the water and looked it over it's an ugly mean looking dude so I think it was best lol
jgf86123
Next time, instead of flushing, if you have a sump, just toss him in there LOL
JasonH
Yeah, I think him being fuzzy rules out pom pom - the stripes on the legs reminding me of a pom pom. I'm with you on the claws, doesn't look friendly. But he doesn't look big enough yet to do too much damage - I didn't see any corals in the pic. But without a specific ID, I'd BBQ him.
