Michael7979
At one time I remember reading a thread where someone told the difference between a milli. and a pros.. The reason I ask is because I have two frags that have recieved, (1 traded for and 1 purchased). Both were said to be milli's but 1 has 3 pronged-polyps per coralite and 1 has only 1 pronged-polyp per coralite. I believe that the the 1 was a Prostata and the 3 was a Millipora. Are you following me............tell me because this means I have a weird Milli or a weird Prostata. Some one please clear this up for me sorry I don't have pictures to show with my question. Palani
I think it was Miles who asked that same question. I'm not sure.
Michael7979
Anyone have any idea. I really think the "blue milli" I have is a prostata. But I want some more input. Come on people help me out.
CraigH
Hey Mike, I can't really help you but maybe they can over on http://www.marinedepot.com/forums/ but they like to have pics.
impur
Prostrata has shorter polyps. Millepora are shaggy. The 2 corals in the middle, they both have sort of a V. On the left is a blue prostrata on the right a blue mille Mille Prostrata on the left here
Michael7979
Maybe it is just a milli then. Looks more like the milli then the prostata (using your pictures Miles), thanks. Was wondering if there is truth to the polyp difference or if that is just BS that someone wants you to take as the truth.
