Bart Posted April 4, 2010 Share Posted April 4, 2010 I got a 25 gallon fresh water tank about 2 months ago. I've been changing about 1/5 of the water weekly, but have not cleaned the filter yet. I noticed that the water flow back into the tank has slowed down. Is that a sign that the filter needs to be cleaned? Also the outflow and inflow water tubes have black stuff growing inside of them.
