bswe22
I have a few of these in my tank and it seems they are multipling fast. Is it something I need to worry about? If they are bad, how do I get rid on them? Thanks Bryan
dsoz
vermited snail? Is it like a red tube sticking up? It is a snail that glues itself to a rock and sends out a "fishing line" of mucous to catch stuff that floats in the water. Mostly harmless. The bad parts are #1 the mucous can irritate other things if it gets on them (coral, etc.) and #2 if you try to pick up the rock and the tube acts like a needle and jabs into your hand it hurts A LOT!!!! I tend to break them off the rock when I find them. dsoz

Saltfinsax
Not sure you can really get rid of them all anyways. there on the back side of your rock as well. Just try and crush there tubes and poke them with a needle to kill the ones you can, mostly the ones close to the corals there bugging with the mucus. dsoz
break them off. They are a hard shell, so it breaks off really easy. I do it with my other tank maintenance... Water changes, scraping coraline, picking out hair algae, killing aptasia, etc. BSWE22- IMO, it would not be a good idea for a newbie to add a copperband butterfly fish to a reef tank. If you have researched it, and think you know what you are doing then you can make up your own mind. dsoz
