MrScuito
I bought a FS yesterday while moveing it my Hawaiian feather duster left his tube and has been floating around the tank. What do I do? He appers to be alive and clings to stuff for a while then off into the current again. will he attach some where and build a new tube? or should I try to place him back in his former tube? nwcoralfarm
There is nothing you can do. Chances are he could very well just not have liked where you put him the first time so he has decided to move out. There is also a possibility that he is dying but from what you described I would say the prior. Also some times they will just shoot off the feather and grow new ones. RoseCityAquarium
I have received feather dusters out of their tubes in the bag. I slip them back in and they usually crawl back in. They will also grow a new tube.

andy
I've never seen one out of it's tube, what does it look like? I always thought they were attached to the bottom inside of the tube somehow.
MrScuito
It looked like one of those small cooked pink shrimp about an inch long attached to about a four inch feather he grabed? onto some cheeto and slowly made his way into the rock work and I havent seen him since. I didnt think about it but I should have snaped a pic.
undrtkr_00
Not exactly the same as a featherduster, but Beckie snapped a pic of her cocoa worm when it was out of the tube. Sadly, hers died. Here is the thread with the pic: http://www.pnwmas.org/forums/showthread.php?t=15433  :eek:
