Kevman Posted February 1, 2010 Share Posted February 1, 2010 I recentlly aquired a few Pieces of Acrapora and was wondering, what everyone feeds them and how often? Besides lighting, what are some of the things you check? what are signs that they are suffering? I dont want to ever get close to loosing them!!!! So what do you do? stylaster Posted February 1, 2010 Share Posted February 1, 2010 You dont need to feed acropora they usually won't take food. As for things to look out for, make sure they dont look pale, should have some sort of polyp extension (varies by species) Tissue recession is bad, along with RTN rapid tissue necrosis a sloughing away of the skin. Make sure to provide good alternating water flow. Keep your water chemistry in check, phosphate and nitrate levels should be undetectable. Keep your calcium, alk, and mg up to proper seawater levels.
