Chief Posted January 21, 2010 Share Posted January 21, 2010 Source: KPUA January 21, 2010 Honolulu, HI - Ecosystem restoration company Pono Pacific has won a contract to remove coral reef-suffocating invasive algae from Oahu's Maunalua Bay. Federal economic stimulus spending is funding the Hawaii Kai project. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration last year awarded the money to The Nature Conservancy, which put the contract out for bid.
