Saltfinsax
Wife has gave me the ok to start looking for a generator. Needs to be 4000W or more Needs to have a 240v plug Anyone find a good place to look for new ones? This will be used to plug into a my Elc. panel (with main shut off) to run Furnace, some tank stuff and a few lights.
reef165
I'd bet that a pawn shop would have these. With as many construction companies liquidating or closing. Or try craigslist and do a specific search of one.

R-3
Heres a good deal on one. I know its not 4000w and not 240 but just thought I would throw it out there since we are talking about generators. Im not sure about the brand but Costcos return policy is unbeatable. http://www.costco.com/Browse/Productgroup.aspx?Prodid=11503314&search=generator&Mo=15&cm_re=1_en-_-Top_Left_Nav-_-Top_search〈=en-US&Nr=P_CatalogName:BC&Sp=S&N=5000043&whse=BC&Dx=mode+matchallpartial&Ntk=Text_Search&Dr=P_CatalogName:BC&Ne=4000000&D=generator&Ntt=generator&No=5&Ntx=mode+matchallpartial&Nty=1&topnav=&s=
