orion
So, we were sitting here admiring our tank when this little worm thing showed up with a tentacle. It's against the glass in the sand bed and we can find at least three. Should we be worried??? (Picture below...well, what we could get...center of the frame.) It's like a black worm and the little white tentacle thingy is sticking out of the sand. Then, it will suck down and disappear.
dj_giantti
No you should not be worried. Just little things shifting through your sand.
ThePremiumAquarium
Those critters are just another important part of your clean up crew. I believe that little guy is some variety of a Medusa Worm or somethign similar. They grab particles with that worm like appendage.
steelhead77
You are going to see all kinds of weird things pop up all over the place! Your live rock houses many strange critters. 99.999% of them are ok, and in fact, very beneficial.
Michael7979
Yeah they are cool. Look out for spaghetti worms. They are good and very cool looking also. Reddish-orange with multiple appendages.
