SnowboardKid26
So i have some brown spots in my sand, up against the glass... not on top, but I figure I need some more sand sifters. I'm thinking of getting a jawfish, and a couple more nassarius snails. Do the jawfish do a good job keeping sand sifted? Any other small fish that do a good job? CCR
WHAT happens to the spot;s if you disturbe it. Is it on glass, or just in sand
Lowman
jawfish dig a burrow and then eat things that float by, not a good sand sifter. Those diamond gobies, dragon gobies, rainsford gobies all do a good job of sifting the sand. I would stay away from the sand sifting star fish as they eat micro fauna in the sand. impur
Nassarius and ceriths. They do a great job. I am partial to ceriths, not only do they stir the sand but they eat algae as well. I have roughly 20 in my 29 gal with 5-8 nassarius and my sand stays white as can be.
