Benny503
I am currentl running my Biocube 29G without the original hood. I have a Sunpod 150W original 14K, I also have a Sunpod 70W with ushio 20K. I like the color of the 20K but I want my corals to growth spread so I am using 150W 14K at this time. I feel that the light of the 150W only concentrate in the center of the tank. Can I move the 150W 14K to the front of the tank and add the 70W 20K behind it? Is this too much light for a nano tank? Any comment would help. Thanks, Benny
stylaster
you might have a heat problem, other then that should be fine. I run a 250w halide over a 24 aquapod Still mostly depends on what you are keeping
markdadof2
I'm guessing that will heat things up quite a bit...fans MAY do it but I would keep a close eye on it during a warm day.
Benny503
I actually check the temps of my tank and it turn out really good. My house air condition always around 75 degree. This keep my tank good at 83 degree :-)
Jay
My tank goes down to 78 at night and on hot days goes up to 83. At 83 I cut the lights. What is the limit for temp in your opinions? I would start to add ice and get worried at 85. At 85 my clownfish start breathing hard somewhat. Jay
Rick
IMO 85 is is the extreme limit. That's when all of the sand creatures come out of the sand and start moving to the top of the tank. I don't worry at 82 or less but at 83 I start reacting as it can take time to stop the temp rising. (Might push 85 by the time it starts coming back down)
