CA2OR
Is there any issues I should be aware of with having a serpant star and a bristle star in the same tank?(scratch)
RoseCityAquarium
brittle stars eat fish that they can catch at night, No problem keeping them together

RoseCityAquarium
wrasse would probably end up as a meal. I have lost a few wrasses to the brittle.

snowpunk
I don't have to retell you the story but my brittle was a real monster. not to be put with anything remotely small.

ThePremiumAquarium
Not all brittle stars will eat your healthy fish! This is a real common misconception and is a result mainly do to the large green and yellow brittle stars. Smaller black, red, brown, banded, and many others are great members of your clean up crew and will only eat fish that are near death or are dead already. When the body of the brittle is larger than the smaller fish in your tank, in general it is time to find the brittle a new home. Also, they do really well with other brittle and serpent stars. drunkreefer
they are all opportunistic feeders and will look for anything to eat, your right that some are less common to eat fish but if given the chance they all will brittle or serpent and I know because my red and black hawaiian brittle used to perch at night on my rock and try to fish for my two clows and finally after a bout with ich caught and ate a sick one! brokenzoa
Our brittle star is huge and he has never tried to eat any of our fish, there is even a barber shop goby in the same tank.
