Bristle Worm?

That's a good guy. Problem bristleworms tend towards bright orange, with large tufts of white bristles -- check this out: http://www.seasky.org/wallpaper/sea-wallpaper-fire-worm-800.html

Eunicid worms are another problem critter often confused with bristleworms -- check out http://www.oregonreef.com/sub_worm.htm for details and associated shudders.

It would probably only eat an anemone that is dead or dying. As long as the anemone is healthy and thriving, the worm should not bother it.

+1 on eunice worm nightmares. Except I had one that was munching on a $70 pink hammer that I had in my tank! The whole rock got nuked to get rid of the bugger.

Have you seen the one Steve had on oregonreef.com ? That would keep me up for a week!!

That was a Eunice worm, not a bristle worm. Eunice worms are a whole different story. They eat corals that are still alive and healthy. Bristle worms almost always wait for things to be dead or dying before chowing down.
