Nate213
I came home today to find that our RBTA split. I'm sure that our 2 will turn into 4. How do I move them once I have too many? Any tips? I have read that if you tear the foot then they wont make it.
RoseCityAquarium
Once they are healed, You can use a powerhead and gently aim it at the foot and it will peel off the rock, Thats how I do it anyway.
finch6013
Im not an anenome expert but if you slowly apply pressure at the base trying to peel it off its spot then it will slowly let go and you shouldn't have any problem moving it.
dsoz
I have never tried it, but some say an ice cube encourages them to let go. I usually use a dull plastic thing like a credit card corner to slowly "tickle" the edge of the foot to get it to start letting go. dsoz
RoseCityAquarium
credit card works good if it is on the glass or acrylic. If its in the rocks the powerhead works great! I have got alot of anemones off the rock this way. I tried the icecube trick, but had no luck.
Rick
I've seen it done 2 ways. One is to simply tickle the base with your fingers until it lets go and the other was similar except they used a stick about the size of a skewer and slipped it under the edge of the foot and it came right off.
